This is my second home using Western Exterminator. I've been a customer for over 20 years. My service is every other month on the exterior - front and back yard. I have had the interior done maybe 3 times! Occasionally I've had a little ant problem in the backyard but it's always due to the weather. They have always taken care of any issues, even if it's between my normal service! They've come out at no extra charge. Very reliable company, very good employees!

Travis always provides excellent customer service. He listens to my concerns and answers my questions. He’s always on time. I appreciate and trust Travis

The same exterminator came by that I have worked with in the past. He was very nice. He checked an additional area in the house to make sore out wasn't new damage, it wasn't. He was very professional and pleasant.

Greta L.via Google

We had a personable efficient tech today. But the previous 3 appts were cancelled causing us to question continuing with this company. We’ll see what happens with the next appt.

The tech took care of the problem caused by the main office in Atlanta not relaying crucial information to him (our dog throwing up after the borax based granular bait application even though we kept her away from the area). He even came up with a reason for the problem (grain based coating causing her problems due to a grain allergy she has.) He made sure we had his cell number so we could call him directly with problems. I am happy with the local Orkin office and would not hesitate to give them 5's. But the main office is frustrating to deal with and I can't give them 5's for that reason.

I would have recommended him for the service type that we had before but he apparently has left and decided to become and fire-fighter and the guy we currently have now claims 11 years of service, I don't find him as reliable, as communicative and they're not coming when they're suppose to be coming right now, in that, they're suppose to come late in the day so that we can let them in the house and treat the interior. It's now been a couple of months since he has come at a time when we could let him in and treat the interior, so not as happy with my service as I was used to. They've done a good job. They do come out reliably, they are responsive for a callback. So, if you really want them back, you can call them, they will come back at a time and work, so. The pricing is moderately expensive. I talk with the guy, he is a little bit talky. The first thing he did was remind me that they had 11 years of experience and then after that it was kind of like, well, you know, the other guy came out at 4:30 when we could let him in the house, when somebody might be home and he's called twice now, that's the night before, and said he's going to be out at 10 AM, nobody is going to be home to let him in the house, so the callbacks are going to be a problem. I really liked the other guy. And I have not had the chance to sit down with the new guy and there are a lots of crawlspaces in the house but I don't think some of them he even knows about.

The regular technician is very prompt and thorough. He has no problem answering my questions. Since having the regular service I have had almost no problem with ants and very little problem with spiders. The insulation in my attic was blown in and gives me an R90 (so I have told). I would recommend this comany to anyone else.

via angieslist

They have been wonderful. They always come when they say they will come and they always do what they say they will do. The guy that helps me is named Constantine. He is wonderful.

via angieslist

They are pretty good. They are not cheap or anything but overall, they are one of the best here. We had termites all over the house and they did quite a nice job. We don't have any more trouble with termites. They are the only ones we have used and I have never had any termite problems after they treat it. You get what you pay for.

Sean always does a great job of communicating after each service. I’m not always home but he will go out of his way to give me a call, send an email and full service report. Since I’ve been getting regular service each season I’ve seen a huge improvement with ants and spiders. When I first started a would see a colony of ants getting in every few days. Now I rarely ever catch any ants inside or outside. Sean has been great throughout the last couple years. Whenever I’ve reached out he is very responsive and gets back to me with a time he can come back out within the same week.

De'Naysia D. via google

I’d give Sean more than a 5 star review . He’s punctual, very nice , always keeps me informed , willing to work with me if I need to make a change. He’s an awesome representative of your company . I was very disappointed when I heard he was moved out of my area. I’m sure your other employees are very good but Sean is one step above . And as long as he continues to come here , I won’t consider changing service .

Kelly E. via google

Terminix has been absolutely fantastic. Our technician, Sean, has the best customer service out there! He thoroughly performs his job and is always a joy to work with. I highly recommend this company and they are lucky to have an employee like him. Thanks again Sean!!

Technicians are on time, polite, able to answer all my questions. Wear booties when they need to work inside and have great personable personalities. On top of the product they use being scent free. After just the first treatment we saw a major improvement. After the second we have seen nothing and we had major sugar ant issues. HIGHLY recommend this company

Amity C. via google

The gal explained everything so we understood. She let us know about add on services but didn't push for us to get them. We were able to choose what service we wanted with ease. We received a discount because they were doing other houses in the neighborhood. I really feel like we got a good deal. The product is pet safe too! I'm excited to not have ants and wasps visiting this summer.

Understanding Pest Control Costs in Lake Oswego, Oregon

For homeowners in Lake Oswego, Oregon, tackling pest problems is a familiar challenge. With a diverse range of pests prevalent in the area, effective pest management is a must. When considering pest control services, costs can vary significantly based on the type of service required. Generally, initial service fees may range from $175 to $399, with subsequent treatments costing between $40 and $260 per session, depending on the plan chosen. Recurring services, which are essential for long-term prevention, often operate on a monthly fee basis, with promotions potentially reducing the cost. It's important to factor in the home's size, level of infestation, and the specific pests targeted when evaluating these prices. Whether opting for a one-time treatment or a full-year plan, understanding the pricing dynamics will help in making an informed decision.

Service Types and Pricing Details

For those facing pest invasions, the price of regaining a pest-free home in Lake Oswego, Oregon can fluctuate based on several factors. One-time treatments are generally more expensive in the short term, ranging from $175 to around $400, depending on the scope and severity of the infestation. Conversely, recurring services provide ongoing protection, with monthly costs averaging between $40 and $80, although premium services including mosquito control can reach up to $125 monthly. The initial service fee is a one-time charge and is often discounted as part of promotional offers. The size of your property and the specific pests you're dealing with will also influence the final cost.

Inclusions and Exclusions of Pest Coverage

When electing for pest control services, it's essential to understand which pests are included in your plan. While general pests like ants, roaches, spiders, and mice are commonly covered, the exclusion of pests such as termites, bed bugs, and wildlife could require specialized attention. Premium plans may extend coverage to additional nuisances like mosquitoes, offering a more comprehensive defense against the variety of pests that can affect Lake Oswego homes.

Understanding Contracts

Pest control services often come with contracts that outline the terms and duration of the service. These agreements may span one to two years and can include penalties for early cancellation, although some providers offer the option to cancel service within a few days of the initial treatment without penalty. It's important to read these contracts carefully to comprehend your obligations and ensure the terms match your need for flexibility or long-term coverage.

Assurance of Service Guarantees

A core aspect of pest control services is the guarantee of satisfaction. Many companies will return to treat your home at no additional cost if pests persist, ensuring your investment is protected. This commitment to customer satisfaction underscores the value of choosing a reliable service provider in Lake Oswego, offering peace of mind that your pest issues will be resolved promptly and effectively.

Treatment Processes

During a typical pest control visit, technicians will treat both the interior and exterior of your home. This could include applying chemicals or baits, sealing entry points, and providing advice on how to prevent future infestations. The initial visit usually involves a more extensive treatment compared to follow-up visits, which are designed to maintain a pest-free environment through proactive measures.

Bundles and Additional Services

Choosing a pest control package that combines multiple services can lead to significant savings. Homeowners in Lake Oswego may find that bundling termite control with general pest management or adding mosquito treatments to their plan is a cost-effective approach to pest control. Additional services like tick control may also be available, further enhancing the protection of your property and family.

Specialty Pest Considerations

Certain pests require specialized treatment plans due to their unique nature. Termites, bed bugs, and wildlife are examples of infestations that demand targeted strategies. While general pest control services may not cover these intruders, many providers offer dedicated plans to address these challenging pests head-on.

Recurring vs. One-Time Services

Deciding between a one-time treatment or a recurring service depends on the extent of your pest problem and your long-term goals. A single visit may suffice for a minor issue, but for ongoing pest pressures or seasonal infestations, a recurring service plan ensures consistent management and prevention, keeping your Lake Oswego home safeguarded throughout the year.
