Joshua came out and inspected our home and attic since we’ve had a daytime bat issue. He was on time and very professional. I would highly recommend them for future services!
Paul W. via googleI got a text from Brian this morning and I was very confused but wrong number. Still had amazing service don't currently need these services but when I do or know someone that does I'll recommend them. Very friendly service!
DSSD G. via googleMy husband and I appreciated the more humane approach to extermination and the time spent during the inspection to explain the treatment. I did have to call for extra treatment since our moles were still present after initial treatment but they did schedule and complete as promised. We’re in our 3 months of treatment with prevention and so far the problem is under control. All in all a reliable service with competitive pricing but everything paid upfront and no ongoing deductions to keep track.
Therese S. via googleA couple of squirrels gnawed their way into my attic. I contracted Critter Control and they responded quickly to set up service. The squirrels were humanely removed and all possible openings were sealed within a week. A short time later, my attic was fogged to take care of any potential critters that remained. A very thorough job with a warranty. Very pleased with the service.
Joanne T. via googleWe noticed a squirrel entering one of our roof eves and because a family member had recommended critter control we called them right away. The sales person came out and gave us a bid, indicating the work would take two to three days and they could have a team out within a couple of days. The price seemed high, but given that I can’t climb a ladder because of my disability, two or three days work for a crew seemed acceptable. A team of two young men showed up when they had said and spent a little less than 3 hours installing wire mesh over all of our roof eve openings and placing a one way the two eves that appeared damaged from birds and the squirrels, although the technicians said they didn’t hear or see anything in the eve. We had paid for 1/2 the service up front and were billed the remainder. While I’m happy to pay a fair wage, especially for services that I can’t do anymore, the six hours of labor and less than $100 of materials, seemed far less than the price and time the sales person had estimated. I called and was told a manager would call me back. I’ve been waiting about two weeks for a call back, but have only received another bill payment request and this request for a review. There is no local number provided on the website and the people I originally spoke with from their main office were not able to address the situation. The work done appears to be fine, but it’s up at the eves, so I can’t really tell the quality, time will tell if the squirrels or birds try to return, but it looks pretty good for now… the cost seems exorbitant compared to the labor and materials though and the company seems too big to provide a response to my inquiry. I do hope we can come to an agreement on finalizing the bill. My attempt to reply by email to their billing request failed so now I’m hoping they reach back out to me.

The customer service from Hawx has always been exceptional. The service technicians are knowledgeable and professional. Connors Trader went the extra mile to make sure he listened to our needs regarding the ant problem we had. He did a wonderful job on our property.
Larry G.via GoogleJordan has provided the most complete service since I’ve been a client. He even sprayed on my deck, which no one else has done. If these are new directions to the techs, hooray. If not, he did the best service. Thanks for putting him on my route.
Sue B.via GoogleI would like to thank Jeff for doing a great job today. In fact, I would like to request him in the future. Y’all were supposed to provide service a couple of weeks ago, and your guy showed up without the equipment to service the inside of my house. To be honest, I almost called you to cancel my service then. Instead I rescheduled. Today Jeff did exactly what I signed up for, but too often you don’t provide. He sprayed indoors and out, swept my eaves for spider webs and took care of a couple of wasp nests. He did a great job. Thank you very much.
Rick T.via GoogleVery polite and wearing a mask (I appreciate that). Introduced himself and asked if any particular place was heavy with mosquitoes, I told him I work in my garage with the door open and he made sure to get that side of the house thoroughly.

Stephanie M. via googleMichael did the treatment today and he was awesome! Had a couple new problem areas and he quickly figured out where they were coming from, why they were there and what to do about it. Extremely personable and professional. Really likes his job and the company he works for so that says a lot to me. I've been using Aptive for several years now. My house is surrounded by thick forest and since using them I can weed the flower beds and move edging stones without ants erupting everywhere. Very refreshing. Only insects that make it into the house are the flying ones and they don't live long! Thanks, Michael!
Shawn L. via googlePros: This last rep was pretty sharp! He helped me understand the ends and outs of the season what to look for, what to get rid of that might attract pests. Was easy to talk to, sent pics of his work all before he left my driveway. Very clean, informative, service given. Cons: Didn't catch his last name or TECH ID# to ask if I could have JUST him come out moving forward. I also wanted to make sure he's recognized as a great tech. His name was super regular "Michael" probably a bunch of guys there with the same name. ?
Chris C. via googleJarvis the service technician came to our house this morning and did an excellent job. I am very happy with the service I received from him and am giving a 10/10 rating! I am looking forward to having him service our property in the future and would highly recommend him to others. Jarvis was professional and friendly and did an excellent job. Thank you Jarvis.
Jeanette M. via googleUnderstanding Pest Control Costs and Services in Wentzville, Missouri
Homeowners in Wentzville, Missouri, seeking pest control services can anticipate a range of pricing based on various factors such as home size, infestation level, and treatment methods. Generally, the cost for general pest prevention plans starts with an initial fee, followed by monthly charges that can vary significantly. For an average-sized home, monthly fees for pest prevention could range from $40 to $100, with initial fees typically falling between $175 and $350. These plans often include routine inspections, treatments at regular intervals, and a host of preventative measures to keep common pests at bay.
Pests Covered and Not Covered
When selecting a pest control plan, it's essential to understand what pests are included. Most plans protect against a wide variety of common household pests such as ants, spiders, rodents, and cockroaches. However, there are certain pests like termites, bed bugs, and wildlife that may require specialized treatment plans, which can come at an additional cost.
Contracts
Pest control services in Wentzville may come with service agreements or contracts that outline the terms of service, including the frequency of treatments and the duration of the contract. Some companies allow for cancellation at any time without a penalty, while others may require a commitment for a year or more, with fees for early termination.
Guarantees
Most reputable pest control companies offer some form of satisfaction guarantee. This could mean a promise to return and re-treat at no extra charge if pests reappear between scheduled visits, or even a refund if the service fails to meet the homeowner's expectations.
What to Expect During a Treatment
Initial treatments typically involve a thorough inspection and treatment of both the interior and exterior of the home. Subsequent treatments may focus on the home's perimeter and entry points to maintain a barrier against pests. Homeowners can expect a mix of baiting, sealing gaps, and applying pesticides as part of a comprehensive pest management strategy.
Bundling and Add-On Services
To maximize protection, homeowners can often bundle various pest control services for savings. This might include termite inspection, mosquito treatment, or tick control. Add-on services are convenient for addressing specific concerns and can be more cost-effective than purchasing separate treatments.
Specialty Pests
Treatment for specialty pests such as termites, bed bugs, and wildlife typically requires more extensive and specialized services. These infestations can be more challenging to eradicate and may require targeted treatment plans that differ from general pest prevention services.
