This is my second home using Western Exterminator. I've been a customer for over 20 years. My service is every other month on the exterior - front and back yard. I have had the interior done maybe 3 times! Occasionally I've had a little ant problem in the backyard but it's always due to the weather. They have always taken care of any issues, even if it's between my normal service! They've come out at no extra charge. Very reliable company, very good employees!
Sonda H.via GoogleTravis always provides excellent customer service. He listens to my concerns and answers my questions. He’s always on time. I appreciate and trust Travis
Susan M.via GoogleThe same exterminator came by that I have worked with in the past. He was very nice. He checked an additional area in the house to make sore out wasn't new damage, it wasn't. He was very professional and pleasant.
Greta L.via GoogleWe had a personable efficient tech today. But the previous 3 appts were cancelled causing us to question continuing with this company. We’ll see what happens with the next appt.

I’m so pleased with my service. I am a longtime customer. My tech Weston is so wonderful! He does a great job and is so friendly. We have had situations pop up, in between regular treatment days, that required immediate attention and they always send someone out very quickly.
Shannon M. via googleI switched to Orkin after using 2 other companies who were worthless. Orkin is #1 for a reason. It’s worth the money for the peace of mind. Also, our technician Deck, is amazing!
Amberly C. via googleI've been a customer for about 6 years, and usually have no problems. The last two times I had routine service being performed, they forgot to give me any notice that they were coming by until they pulled into my driveway. I was at work and could not let them in, so I only got half of it. This time I needed to call them in early due to an ant swarm near my house in the back yard, and the date they said they were scheduled for was 3 months after the prior service date - I'm supposed to get service every 2 months. Thankfully they scheduled me for just a few days out (after complaining that they had to hurry and leave the office in 2 minutes - it was 12:28pm, is this a one-person service center??), for an "anytime" appointment. I agreed and sat around the ENTIRE DAY (my only day off) waiting for them to come, which they did not. I called again the next day to complain and get a new appointment. They scheduled me for a 2 hour window the following day (thankfully), and the tech actually showed up and did a great job. I'm happy with the work they do when they finally get to my house, but the customer service and scheduling end of things is a real pain to deal with.
Aegerine3 via googleOrkin kept me informed as to who was coming to my home and when they would arrive. They did a very thorough job and showed me pictures of the damage to my house. They were able to schedule me right away with the inspector so that I could get an estimate for the next steps. They were very friendly and respectful.
Julia S. via googleI have been an Orkin customer for several years. I always have an outstanding experience with the Tacoma Branch Office, thanks to our exceptional technician- she is knowledgeable, customer centric and always a great communicator. From the moment She arrives monthly, it’s clear our home and property is in the hands of a true professional. Her knowledge about pest control is impressive, and she always takes the time to explain every step of the process, ensuring I understood what needs to be done and why. The service is always thorough, efficient, and effective. I haven't seen a single pest since! If you're looking for top-notch pest control with expert guidance, I highly recommend Orkin in Tacoma. Five stars all the way!

Alan Bunting did a thorough job in treating my yard. I have gophers, moles and voles. He contacted his manager for a specific treatment plan for my yard. I appreciated his concern.
Dorothy L. via googleCritter Conteol has serviced my property for many years, controlling a rodent problem. They have done a good job but I have noticed a decline in the level of service lately. They used to let me know when they were coming but stopped. I mentioned it to them and I did get a notice last time. The last visit, though, the tech could only find 3 of the 6 stations they themselves put out. At one time they had a diagram but I guess no more. So they only did half the job this month
Robert K. via googleCritter Control is responsive and professional. Kudos to the support staff.
Craig J. via googleHad a bat in my house, called to make sure we did not have more
Pete K. via googleZac went above and beyond in helping relocate a Mama raccoon and her babies from under our deck and then enclosed it so wildlife won’t be tempted to take up residence again. It took a bit to get scheduling coordinated but once they were onsite, they did an outstanding job!

Steve L. via facebookHe would not spray under bushes so I fired them. ?The primary reason I called them in the first place was for mice. ?The primary problem was mice. ?He put out mouse traps. ?I noticed every 3 months he would spend about 10 minutes spraying around the house. ?The only bug problem I have is ants around the kitchen. ?He's a little guy, he had a little job to do, and he did it well but just did not get under the bushes. ?I cancelled service in April 2014.

Sandy N. via googleUnderstanding Pest Control Costs and Services in Puyallup, Washington
Homeowners in Puyallup, Washington face a variety of pest control issues, from common insects to larger wildlife invasions. The price of professional pest management services can vary based on several factors including the size of your property, the degree of infestation, and the specific pests involved. Generally, residents should expect to budget for an initial treatment fee followed by recurring service fees to maintain a pest-free environment. Initial fees often cover an in-depth assessment and first treatment, while the recurring fees ensure regular monitoring and intervention. Although the exact price may fluctuate, a typical initial fee can range from $175 to $350, with monthly maintenance costs between $40 to $100 for standard household pest control.
Comprehensive Coverage and Exclusions
Home pest control plans in Puyallup typically include a roster of the most common pests such as ants, spiders, roaches, and rodents. However, it's pivotal to note that some pests might not be covered under standard plans. These often include termites, bed bugs, and certain types of wildlife, which may require specialized treatment plans due to their unique characteristics and the potential for extensive property damage.
Understanding Service Agreements
Signing up for pest control services usually means agreeing to a service contract. These contracts often last for a year and outline the terms of service, including the number of visits and the types of treatments provided. While some homeowners might hesitate at the idea of a long-term commitment, most companies offer the flexibility to cancel the service if it does not meet expectations, sometimes with a cancellation fee.
Satisfaction Guarantees
To stand behind the quality of their work, many pest control providers in Puyallup offer guarantees. If pests return between scheduled visits, the company may provide additional treatments at no extra cost to the homeowner, offering peace of mind and assurance of the service's effectiveness.
What Happens During a Treatment?
Initial pest control treatments typically involve a thorough inspection of the property, identification of problem areas, and the application of treatments to target pests. Follow-up visits focus on maintaining barriers against pests and addressing any new activity. Technicians may also provide recommendations to the homeowner on ways to reduce the likelihood of future infestations.
The Advantages of Bundling Services
Many pest control companies encourage bundling services, such as combining general pest control with termite or mosquito treatments, offering a cost-effective solution for comprehensive protection. Add-on services can be tailored to address specific issues, like tick or mosquito control, enhancing the homeowner's ability to enjoy their property without concern for these pests.
Addressing Specialty Pests
Puyallup residents dealing with specialty pests like termites, bed bugs, or wildlife will find that some pest control companies have developed targeted treatment plans for these more challenging invaders. These services often require specific expertise and may be priced separately from general pest control plans.
