Truly Nolan solved my rat frustrations. We paid another company to do an exclusion which was wasted money. Poor experience. Alan with TN came out and explained the process which sounded much more professional and effective than the prior company. They did what was outlined and we are very happy with the outcome.

Bill C.via Google

I was in dire need of termite treatment and Truly Nolen came to the rescue! They were able to squeeze us in for an appointment the very next day, and showed up right on time. The technician was knowledgeable and thorough in their treatment. The only downside was that the Quality Manager had a bit of an odor, but a quick spray of Lysol took care of that. Overall, I was extremely satisfied with the prompt and professional service provided by Truly Nolen and would highly recommend them to anyone in need of termite treatment.

Michael J.via Google

I spoke to Jason about starting service. Jason was very professional and through about his description of what would be preformed. Jason answered any of my wife’s or my questions. We felt very comfortable about starting service and indeed did. We are so glad we did. Jason came back on the day in which he said he would return. Everything was executed to a T. We are so glad Jason took the time to educate us on Truly service. Thank you for a great job!! Best Regards, Mike

Michael M.via Google

Jason the technician has been amazing to deal with, He actually listens to our concerns and has gone above and beyond to work on resolving our problems and will not give up until its handled. he even brought his regional manager in to handle the issue.

Dan was fantastic at helping rid my home of unwanted fuzzy guests. I appreciate his hard work and dedication to make sure my family feels comfortable moving forward with sealed entry points, attic remediation and deterrents around the home.

They came quickly to assess the problem and did an initial treatment for gophers and rodents. The follow up has not happened. My neighbors have terminated services and are looking for another company for ongoing services. I’m confused about the monthly services that I paid for

Julene R. via google

So far so good. They were super prompt and communication was awesome. They said the rodents are gone so if that's the case, this will remain a 5 star review.

Matt W. via google

Quick response. They presented a plan for control and speaker units to be placed on our building roofs to use sound as a way to eradicate pigeons. I presented to the BOD this option, and they were concerned with the cost and long-term effectiveness. They have chosen to try a different path, one of removing nesting areas, first.

David D. via google

The folks we dealt with were nice enough and got the job done well. We would never have used the service if we could have done it ourselves as it was extremely expensive. They tried to upsell with the offer of a yearlong contract for pest control at $100/mo which we declined. The almost $2K bill seems very excessive considering the amount of time their employee was here (6 hours total). In hindsight I wish I had negotiated a more reasonable cost or gotten additional bids. If you have squirrels in your neighborhood, check your house/roof for possible access points and get them sealed up. We hadn’t had problems until we had our roof redone this past summer and I suspect they left a gap that allowed access to the critters.

Craig R. via google

They got the job done it was just very expensive.

Jordan has provided the most complete service since I’ve been a client. He even sprayed on my deck, which no one else has done. If these are new directions to the techs, hooray. If not, he did the best service. Thanks for putting him on my route.

Sue B.via Google

I would like to thank Jeff for doing a great job today. In fact, I would like to request him in the future. Y’all were supposed to provide service a couple of weeks ago, and your guy showed up without the equipment to service the inside of my house. To be honest, I almost called you to cancel my service then. Instead I rescheduled. Today Jeff did exactly what I signed up for, but too often you don’t provide. He sprayed indoors and out, swept my eaves for spider webs and took care of a couple of wasp nests. He did a great job. Thank you very much.

Rick T.via Google

Very polite and wearing a mask (I appreciate that). Introduced himself and asked if any particular place was heavy with mosquitoes, I told him I work in my garage with the door open and he made sure to get that side of the house thoroughly.

Your appointment setting is a less than desirable process. I would recommend that you contact customers to set up appointments rather than automatically. I have also asked several times to have appointments scheduled for Monday late morning or early afternoon. This is not followed when scheduling appointments for my home. Your technicians are very professional and do a good job at servicing my home.

Robert H. I. via google

All of the treatment specialists are super kind, listen well and go out of their way to service our home and keep bugs away. We have LOVED Aptive & don’t have any issues with bugs or rodents anymore at all.

Amber H. via google

I've been very pleased with the actual pest service we've received from Aptive, but won't be continuing with them due to their customer service when it comes to contracts and scheduling. First, all the technicians who have come to our house have been thorough, professional and friendly. Top marks there. Scheduling is trickier. They send you a text announcing what day they're coming, but there is no timeframe whatsoever given. If you need to be home when the technician comes (to do the inside of your house, for example), you'll have to give them your entire day since you don't know when they might show up until 20 minutes beforehand. You can reschedule if you're out on an errand, but the next appointment might be weeks or longer away. It's a pretty inconvenient system. Finally (and the main reason we won't be continuing with Aptive), the contract you sign for services enrolls you in auto renewal, which you apparently cannot cancel until your contract is over. Every major service at least allows you to cancel auto renewal before your contact is up, but not Aptive. They told me I have to call their office on the last day of my contract to cancel auto enrollment in more service, and that makes me mad. I don't want a company like that having my credit card information. I feel like they're hoping I'll forget to cancel so they can take more money from me (a common practice, sure, but still a greasy one--no thanks). Fix this, and the inconvenient scheduling, and I'll be an Aptive customer again!

Leigh G. via google

I worked for Aptive in the Phoenix area so I was very familiar with the company. I’m new to Utah only lived here for a little less than 6 months but wanted to get pest control for my house. The tech Daniel performed my initial service and did a fantastic job. I wasn’t home at time of service but my wife was, he explained the service to me via text and to my wife upon arrival to our house. She said he was friendly and professional. Much appreciated and great job Daniel !

Jason L. via google

Daniel did an amazing job today. He arrived within the time scheduled. He went right to work after inquiring if we had any special requirements. He was very thorough, spraying around the house, the garage, shed and crawlspace. He made sure the Wasp nests were removed and the fire pit, which housed a lot of Wasps, was sprayed thoroughly. Even after 3 months since our last application, we have seen spiders and earwigs continue to die. Good Job Aptive ! ! !

Understanding Pest Control Costs and Services in Layton, Utah

Homeowners in Layton, Utah face various challenges when it comes to maintaining a pest-free home. The cost of pest control services can vary widely based on several factors including the size and location of your home, the extent of the infestation, and the type of pests involved. On average, residents can expect to pay a monthly fee ranging from $40 to $100 for a general pest prevention plan. The initial visit, which typically includes a thorough inspection and first treatment, may incur a fee from $175 to $350. While these figures provide a general guide, precise costs will be determined after a professional assessment of your individual situation.

Pest Coverage Details

When selecting a pest control service, it's essential to understand what pests are included in your plan. Generally, a standard plan may cover a variety of pests including ants, spiders, rodents, and cockroaches, among others. However, certain pests like termites, bed bugs, and some species of rodents and wildlife may require specialized treatment plans. It's important to note that while most general pests are covered, there are exceptions; for instance, honey bees and other beneficial insects are often excluded due to their ecological importance.

Service Agreements and Flexibility

Most pest control companies offer service contracts that detail the frequency of visits and scope of services provided. Some companies allow for a great deal of flexibility, offering the ability to cancel service without penalty, while others may require a commitment of one year or more. Understanding the terms of your service agreement is crucial to avoid unexpected fees should you decide to discontinue service.

Satisfaction and Money-Back Guarantees

A primary concern for homeowners is whether the pest control service will effectively solve their pest problems. Many companies offer guarantees, promising customer satisfaction with options for additional treatments at no extra cost if pests return between scheduled visits. Some even offer money-back guarantees should the service fail to meet expectations, providing an additional layer of reassurance.

Treatment Procedures Explained

During a typical pest control treatment, technicians will inspect the home, identify problem areas, and apply treatments to targeted locations. These treatments might include sealing cracks and gaps where pests enter, setting traps, and applying various pesticides, depending on the specific pest issue. Safety measures are always taken to protect the home's occupants, including pets.

Combining Services for Savings

Homeowners can often save money by bundling various pest control services. For instance, combining general pest control with termite treatment or mosquito control can lead to significant discounts. Additionally, add-on services such as tick and flea treatments can be included for an extra fee, providing comprehensive protection against a wider array of pests.

Addressing Specialty Pest Issues

While general pest control plans cover a broad range of common pests, certain critters like termites, bed bugs, and wildlife require specialized treatment plans. If you encounter these pests, it's important to seek services that specifically target these infestations to ensure effective resolution.

Choosing Between Single or Recurring Services

Deciding between a one-time treatment and a recurring service depends on the nature and severity of the pest issue. A one-time service may be suitable for an isolated problem, but ongoing maintenance is often recommended to prevent future infestations.
