I have a big problem with squirrels and rats Make appointment with company Sent someone who knew lots about pests So far all is going to plan they laid out

Margaret S. via google

They are always on time, courteous, friendly, and we’ve had no trouble with any pests— small or large — since we’ve been using them. Highly recommend them. August 2021 Had new pest problems (Texas rocks squirrels and a possum digging homes under my house). They came out and blocked that up very well. Have not seen any more rock squirrels, and there are no new holes. Looks good.

Laurel B. via google

I had a really large hole that woodpeckers had drilled in a beam on my back porch. The hole was covered up and a deterrent applied. Good job!

Joanie B. via google

With a very quick response they created a plan to remove the critter and seal any and all possible entryways into our home efficiently, professionally with care for the animal, care for our home and leaving us with a peace of mind. We enjoyed all aspects of this company and their employees! Highly recommend them!!!

I've been using Terminix for insect prevention for a year, and I've noticed a big difference in the low quantity of insects around my property. Recently, I had an invasive wasp swarm on the corner of my house and the paper wasps were being aggressive to me and my family. Michael Fox came to my house and was able to exterminate the paper wasps, and educate me of where they were swarming and how to prevent them from returning next season. I'm extremely grateful to the whole Terminix team! I will always highly recommended the Terminix team!

Chris Neel-Bachler is a fantastic technician. He serviced our brand new house (new build in a new development - lots of spider, ant, pest activity) on 8/9/24 and was incredibly attentive and accommodating. Went above and beyond for our peace of mind and we are grateful for that. Thanks Chris!

Our local branch in Austin Texas is customer oriented. I cannot say the same for the corporate office. I’ve been with Terminix for over 12 years. On Monday Aug 5th, 2024, my call was forwarded from local to corporate. I requested mosquito service. No problem. Paid my money via credit card and was told the first service call would be Wednesday, August 7th. Outstanding because we have friends coming over for the weekend and we would like to entertain outside. The very nice lady said someone will be there 3 to 5 and will call or text 30 minutes before coming. Outstanding so I took the afternoon off. Around 430 I noted no one contacted us. I contact corporate only to have them tell me that it appears we are scheduled for Thursday 3 to 5. Okay, no problem. Again I took the afternoon off from work. No one showed. Again I contacted corporate who said I apologize but you are scheduled for Friday 3 to 5. The customer service rep offered no assistance. I said may I speak to a supervisor or manager. She told me there is no one to transfer me to. She said she could move it up to management at the local branch. It would take 24 to 48 hours for them to respond. What good is that if as you say they will be here tomorrow. I finally got in my car and drove to the local office. The Operations Manager helped me and made one phone call to a technician and we were serviced on Thursday. This story is to keep trying to reach the local office, I highly recommend you NOT depend on the corporate office because they appear extremely incompetent as well as untrained and ignorant on how to provide customer service.

The customer service from Hawx has always been exceptional. The service technicians are knowledgeable and professional. Connors Trader went the extra mile to make sure he listened to our needs regarding the ant problem we had. He did a wonderful job on our property.

Jordan has provided the most complete service since I’ve been a client. He even sprayed on my deck, which no one else has done. If these are new directions to the techs, hooray. If not, he did the best service. Thanks for putting him on my route.

Sue B.via Google

I would like to thank Jeff for doing a great job today. In fact, I would like to request him in the future. Y’all were supposed to provide service a couple of weeks ago, and your guy showed up without the equipment to service the inside of my house. To be honest, I almost called you to cancel my service then. Instead I rescheduled. Today Jeff did exactly what I signed up for, but too often you don’t provide. He sprayed indoors and out, swept my eaves for spider webs and took care of a couple of wasp nests. He did a great job. Thank you very much.

Rick T.via Google

Very polite and wearing a mask (I appreciate that). Introduced himself and asked if any particular place was heavy with mosquitoes, I told him I work in my garage with the door open and he made sure to get that side of the house thoroughly.

Montana was pleasant and most helpful in taking care of the service requested. We are happy and pleased with great service and the professional assistance given. SHB

I am in door to door sales and Leo really impressed me. Something a lot of door to door folks don’t do is knock until the end of the day. The fact he came back when I was home (9:15ish) just blew me out of the water. Leo was very easy going and knowledgeable about his product. He was able to work on getting us the time slot we needed to be able to take care of our pest control problem. Thank you Leo! I would buy from you again if you came with another product!

Daniel did an amazing job, it's been a long time since I have seen strong customer service from a company. Not only did he complete the pest control service thoroughly but he also took the time to review my account and resolve outstanding issues around scheduling and billing charges. He made sure everything was taken care of before he left the property. Highly recommend him for the service!

Absolutely pleased with the level of detail our technician, Calvin, provides. He is very detailed oriented. He communicates in advance of arrival to ensure our pets are indoors prior to his arrival. After treatment, he communicates with details of service, discovery and other pertinent information. Excellent service! If I could give Calvin 10 stars, I would.

Moe was awesome. He came and checked in and asked if we were having any issues. Advised that our pups couldn’t go out for an hour and made sure they got a potty break before he treated the yard. Thumbs up for Moe!

Understanding Pest Control Services and Costs in Austin, Texas

Homeowners in Austin, Texas, looking for pest control services can expect a variety of options with different pricing structures based on several factors. The cost of pest management services generally depends on the size of the home, level of infestation, and specific treatment methods required. On average, homeowners might encounter monthly fees ranging from $40 to $100 for general pest control plans. An initial fee, which can also vary widely, is often required and may fall between $175 and $350. This initial fee typically covers a thorough assessment of the pest situation and an initial treatment to start managing the pests. Subsequent visits are scheduled to maintain a pest-free environment through regular monitoring and intervention.

Pricing Details

When it comes to keeping your Austin residence free from pests, a variety of pricing options are available. The precise cost of services may fluctuate, factoring in the dimensions of your abode, the intensity of pest presence, and the specific methods employed by the pest control professionals. For a standard-sized home, you are likely to see monthly service fees in the vicinity of $40 to $100. This monthly cost is designed to cover repeated visits that ensure pests are managed continuously. An upfront fee for initial services is also standard practice, ranging from $175 to $350, which includes a detailed inspection and initial treatment to kick off the pest control program.

Pests: Included and Excluded

A comprehensive pest control plan typically encompasses a variety of common household pests. Homeowners can anticipate protection against nuisances such as ants, cockroaches, spiders, and rodents. However, not all creatures are covered under a standard plan. Pests like termites, bed bugs, and certain wildlife may require specialized treatment plans due to their unique behaviors and the complex methods needed for effective control. Services may vary by provider, so it's important to confirm which pests are included and which may incur additional fees.

Service Contracts Explained

Many pest control services require a contractual agreement, often spanning a year. These contracts ensure that your home receives regular inspections and treatments throughout the term. Fortunately, some companies offer flexible terms with no penalty for early cancellation, while others may require a cancellation fee. It's vital to understand the terms of service before agreeing to a contract to avoid unexpected charges.

Satisfaction Guarantees

Most reputable pest control companies stand by their service with a satisfaction guarantee. This means if pests return between scheduled treatments, they will come back to address the issue at no extra cost to you. Guarantees can instill confidence in the service provided and ensure peace of mind knowing that your pest problem is under control.

Treatment Expectations

During initial and regular pest control treatments, technicians focus on both the interior and exterior of your home. They may apply treatments to kitchens, bathrooms, and other entry points inside, while also targeting the home's foundation and yard outside to prevent new infestations. The specific treatments used will depend on the type of pests and the level of infestation.

Bundling and Add-On Services

Bundling pest control services can provide significant savings and more comprehensive protection. Homeowners might have the option to add termite inspection, mosquito treatment, or rodent control to their general pest control plan, often at a discounted rate. These add-on services can enhance your home's defense against pests and save money in the long run.

Specialty Pests and Treatment Plans

While general pest control plans cover a broad range of pests, some intruders require specialized attention. Termites, bed bugs, and certain types of wildlife fall into this category, and dealing with these pests often necessitates specific treatment plans. These treatments can be more intensive and may require a separate contract and pricing.
